provider community of practice

What is a Community of Practice (CoP)?

A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals.

Communities of Practice often focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge to advance professional practice. Interaction on an ongoing basis is an important part of this.

Why join a Provider Community of Practice (CoP)?

Provider CoP is a face-to-face space to support providers by connecting with others that do similar work. This is a space to share talents, expertise and authentic selves to better the collective. Community and connection are important for ourselves and the work we do. By connecting with other providers, we are able to learn about resources and process thoughts, emotions and feelings through authentic human connection. These quarterly meetings are open to all providers, yes, all providers, in a space that fosters connection, discussion and support.

*Provider CoP is not associated with or sponsored by the WRRWC or any other CCS/CLTS consortium/counties.*

What does 'All Providers' mean?

Whether independent or contracting with an agency, Provider CoP is an in-person gathering open to all providers in the CCS/CLTS programs.

Why I do it...

Honestly, I am noticing that not all providers have the ability to connect with other providers in their agency and/or do not feel connected to providers in their agency to have meaningful, purposeful conversations. I have talked to multiple independent contractors in their need to connect to others who do similar work.

Provider CoP  is not a meeting or a training.. it is a time for YOU to show up as your authentic self, have a treat, and connect with others.
